VILLAGE OF VALCHITRAN & REGION
Valchitran is a nice and picturesque village, located in North-Western Bulgaria.
It has all basic amenities for living such as shops, bars, town hall, post office, regular transport to/from nearby
villages and towns, etc.
The area benefits from a charming climate – mild winter and sunny summer. Nearby there are many places for fishing
– small artificial lakes, Kamenets & Aleksandrovo Dams and Osum river. The conditions for hunting are also very
good.
I'S A VERY ATTRACTIVE AREA. THERE ARE ALREADY SOME FOREIGN INVESTORS THERE!!
The coastal City of Varna with its famous beach resorts and international airport is about 150 miles
away.
The village is located approximately 90 miles to the capital City Sofia & International Sofia Airport, and
about 115 miles away to the City of Bucharest (RO) and its International Airport "Otopeni". Also not
far is the lovely architectural City of Ruse, only 65 miles away, bordering Bulgaria and
Romenia on the Danube River.
It is only about 42 miles to the historical and touristic City of Veliko Turnovo. Located on the famous
"River Yantra" (the 3rd longest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube River), "VT" is one of the most
popular destinations for tourists in Bulgaria. From its rich historical value to its thriving modern nightlife and
lush natural surroundings that provide many excellent opportunities for outdoor recreational activities, Veliko
Turnovo offers you everything you could ever want for the perfect holiday!!
Next to Veliko Turnovo is the famous Ski Resort Uzana.
This really is a property with potential !!
Pordim Municipality is situated in the North-Western part of Bulgaria. Its territory is crossed by the
railway line Sofia-Varna, the 1st class road Sofia-Ruse, and 3rd class roads Pleven-Letnitsa / Slavyanovo-Lovech.
Because Pordim is located close to the City of Pleven hence it's easy accessible to tourists.
The region offers good condition for rural tourism. The area is typical for its lovely green meadow which alternate
with charming hills. In the region there are lakes, river and caves, including the famous Devetashka
Cave.
Pordim is a town in Pleven Province in North-Western Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the
homonymous Pordim municipality. The town lies at 155 metres above sea level in the Danubian Plain.
The town played an active part in the war of 1877-78 and boasts two museums, the Alexander II Russian Museum and
the Carol I Romanian Museum,[1] both houses in the authentic buildings where the two heads of state stayed during
the battle for Pleven, commanding their respective forces.
It's a fantastic place for holidays and a great place for relocation!
PLEVEN & REGION
Pleven is the 7th most populous city in Bulgaria. Well known as a major economic centre of the Bulgarian
Northwest and Central North and the 3rd largest city of Northern Bulgaria after Varna and Ruse.
Located in the northern part of the country, it is the administrative centre of Pleven District, as well as of the
subordinate Pleven Municipality.
Pleven is located in an agricultural region in the very heart of the Danubian Plain, the historical region
of Moesia, surrounded by low limestone hills, the Pleven Heights. The city's central location in Northern Bulgaria
defines its importance as a big administrative, economic, political, cultural and transport centre. Pleven is
located about 100 miles away from the capital City of Sofia, approximately 195 miles west of the
Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and about 30 miles south of the Danube River. The River Vit flows near the
town and the tiny Tuchenitsa River crosses it.
The Pleven Regional Historical Museum is a very popular tourist attraction while the Svetlin Rusev
Donative Exhibition, situated in the former public baths, exhibits works by Bulgarian artists as well as noted
Western European art figures like Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Renato Guttuso and many others. The Ivan Radoev
Dramatic Theatre is the centre of theatrical life in Pleven.
Pleven is often regarded as an important centre of sports in Bulgaria. The sports school in Pleven is thought of as
one of the most prominent in the country. Pleven is also famous for its Kaylaka (where the ruins of the
Storgosia fortification can be found) and Skobelev parks. The later is home to the Pleven Panorama and is
situated on the original location of the battle during the Russo-Turkish War.
The District of Pleven is crossed from south to north by the Rivers Iskar, Vit and Osam (in west-east
order); the river valleys are separated by limestone plateaus.
